The EeePC 1015PE is the latest Asus netbook to use the Seashell design scheme. Its rounded corners and straight lines look great from any angle. The wedge-shaped body appears very thin from the front, but even from the back it’s a very sleek netbook. The white colour scheme looks great, even if the contrasting black screen bezel looks slightly out of place.

The 10.1in screen is very thin, but it includes an embedded webcam. This has a low resolution of 640×480, but it’s still fine for basic tasks such as Skype conversations. The screen itself has a resolution of 1,024×600, which is standard for netbooks of this size. Read more…

Dell added a new 13.3-inch laptop to its E-family.

The new Dell Latitude E4310 comes equipped with an Intel Core i5-540M 2.53GHz/Core i5-520M 2.4GHz or Intel Core i7 processor, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 500GB HDD.

Other features are: an optional Bluetooth, 802.11n WiFi, EVDO+HSPA+AGPS mobile broadband module, Express Card 34 slot, 2mp webcamera, 7-in-1 card reader, VGA output, eSATA combo port, USB port, built-in stereo speakers, a choice of 3-or 6-cell battery pack.

Toshiba announced a new 14-inch Satellite series Pro L510 business laptop. Toshiba Satellite Pro L510 features a 14-inch TruBrite® LED-backlit display and is packed with Intel® Core™2 Duo T6570 2.1GHz Processor, 3GB DDR3 1066MHz RAM (up to 4 GB), 250GB HDD, an Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics.

The laptop comes equipped with a DVD SuperMulti drive, 802.11(a/g/n) WiFi, Bluetooth V2.1 + EDR, a built-in webcam and microphone jack, LAN, VGA output, 3x USB Ports (+ 1x eSATA/USB Combo), a 6 Cell Lithium-Ion battery pack which allows to work the machine approximately 3 hours and weights from 2.29kg.

The Toshiba Satellite Pro L510 Business Laptop runs on Windows 7 Professional OS.

Asus launched a new 13.3-inch U30Jc laptop powered by an Intel Core i3 2.26GHz processor, Nvidia GeForce GT310M graphics (Nvidia Optimus technology), up to 4GB RAM, up to 640GB HDD. The laptop features a 13.3-inch 1366 x 768 LED display, Altec Lansing speakers, 802.11n wireless networking (Wi-Fi), a 0.3-megapixel webcam, gigabit Ethernet, HDMI output, DVD/Blu-ray disc drive.

Asus U30Jc runs on Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

Acer introduces its a new 10.1-inch Aspire One D260 netbook which has dual-boot capability with Android and Windows, likely XP. An update to the Aspire One D250. At the same time, Acer revealed a netbook running on Chrome OS is also due in the summer of this year.

The netbook is powered by an Intel Atom CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 160GB of HDD. Aspire One D260 features a 0.3-megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a card reader and include 3G broadband support.

Asus introduces us its new a 10.1-inch (1,024 x 600 pixels) Eee PC 1001PX netbook powered by an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB or 250GB of HDD. The netbook features 3X USB 2.0 ports, 802.11b/g WiFi, VGA output, ethernet, a memory card reader, a 0.3 megapixel webcama, mic/headphone jack, a 6 cell battery pack which supports up to 9 hours of netbook usage. The netbook weights only 1KG (measures 262 x 178 x 25.9 – 36.5mm).

Asus Eee PC 1001PX runs on either Windows XP or Windows 7 Home Edition OSs.

Acer rolled out its a 15.6-inch Travel Mate 5740 laptop. This new laptop is designed especially for business users and comes with Intel vPro as well as Anti-theft technology. The laptop is powered by an Intel Core i7 or Intel Core i5 processor, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5670 graphics, an Intel QM57 Express Chipset, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 640GB HDD. Acer Travel Mate 5740 features 15.6-inch LED-backlit display, a 1.3MP CrystalEye webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth, Gigabit ethernet, modem, LAN, a DVD burner, optional 3G, a 9-cell battery pack.

Expand its Vaio laptop range Sony released a new 15.5 inch (HD widescreen display) E Series stylish laptop powered by an Intel Core i3 or Intel Core i5-520M 2.26GHZ processor, up to 8GB of RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD graphics, 500GB HDD. Sony VAIO E features Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, WiFi, HDMI out, a Blu-ray drive, 3X USB ports, eSATA port, web camera, a SD slot, a Memory Stick slot and runs on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.

The starting price of Sony VAIO E laptop is supposed to be about $800.00.

MSI introduces us its 17.3-inch with 1600 x 900 HD+ LCD display CR720 Classic Series laptop. The laptop is powered by an Intel Core processor (Core i3/i5/i7), up to 4GB DDR3 RAM, an Intel GMA HD graphics, Intel HM55 chipset, up to 500GB HDD. MSI CR720 features a 1.3MP webcam, Wireless, Bluetooth, HDMI and D-sub ports, 3X USB 2.0 ports, a 6-cell battery pack, a 4-in-1 card reader and runs on Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

Samsung introduces us its 10.1-inch  (1024×600 pixel display) NB30 netbook. The netbook is powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, an integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics, a 1GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD. Samsung NB30 features a HDD protection system, a 3MP webcamera, 802.11b/g/n WiFi connectivity, a 6 Cell 4400mAh Lithium Ion battery pack which supports up to 6.5 hours of netbook usage and runs on Windows 7 Starter Edition OS.
